| 30th Anniversary: October 1975 - October 2005 The Tucci Russo Contemporary Art Studio was founded in Turin in 1975 by Antonio Tucci Russo; in 1982 Elisabetta Di Grazia joined the staff. The gallery held its first exhibition, of Pier Paolo Calzolari's work, in 1975. Artists presented in the early years included Remo Salvadori, Marco Bagnoli, Sandro Chia, Enzo Cucchi, Mario Merz, Giovanni Anselmo, Jannis Kounellis and Marisa Merz. They were followed by other Italian artists such as Luigi Mainolfi, Luigi Stoisa, Alfredo Pirri, Giulio Paolini, Giuseppe Penone and American and European artists such as Maria Nordman, Thomas Schütte, Harald Klingelhöller, Lili Dujourie, Richard Long, Tony Cragg, Daniel Buren and Jan Vercruysse. Recent entries: Paolo Piscitelli, Gianni Caravaggio, Francesco Gennari, Robin Rhode. In 1994 the gallery,about 1200 sq. meters exhibitions space, moved to Torre Pellice, a small town near Turin, where it occupies a fascinating former textile mill. Artists presented: |
